Statement of Significance

Warook is significant to the West Gippsland Region for its symbolism of both the pastoral era of Lyall and the consolidation period dominated by men such as Greaves. Its size, apparent age and uncommon brick construction mark the prosperity of the family and in turn, the hard labour needed to achieve it.
