Statement of Significance

This orchard house which is thought to have been built c1910 for the Smith family and is still part of a functioning orchard, is significant to the Cardinia Shire because of its long association with orcharding in the shire and the relative architectural skill of its design and type. The building is a landmark, sited on a hill and close to the Princes Highway.
