Additional information kindly supplied in 2015 by Jim Duff, grandson of Michael Duff, as a correction to the original heritage citation:

Jim's grandfather's name was Michael Francis Duff. The original gate, which was apparently located nearby, contained Michael Duff's name in 1947. Michael Duff was a Trustee of the Belmont Recreation Reserve, and is shown (centred) in a photograph of the Trustees in may 1938 (see attached). Further biographical details are given in the heritage citation for 'Winalta' (formerly 'Buninyong'), 52 Mt Pleasant Road, Belmont, the former residence of Michael Duff.
