SIGNIFICANCE:
Excellent example of 1950s Moderne. This may been influenced by an Age Small Homes design. Designed and built by the
McLean brothers.

27 Carmichael Street

This building has local significance for its architectural interest as an excellent example of a Moderne weatherboard and cream brick structure with an angled entrance wall, and lights at the front gate posts. It was designed and constructed c1955 ([i]) by the McLean Brothers of Tasmania for Reg White, Mayor of Hamilton, 1950-54.
