The house at 54 Woolton Avenue, Thornbury is aesthetically significant to Darebin City.
It is aesthetically significant (Criterion E) as an unusually picturesque Post Federation period villa in the Croxton/Thornbury corridor which is more strongly represented here than the Victorian period and which vies for pre-eminence with the Inter-War houses. The front window bay and ornamental porch are especially important contributors to the architectural character of the place.
