Statement of Significance

The former Court House is of local architectural and historical significance. The building is anexample ofthe stripped classical style popular in the 1920s and 30s for public buildings, dependant onsimple proportions and detailing. Substantially intact, the building is compromised by the addition of the skillion roofed porch.The former Court House has served as a public building over a long period in Northcote an hence is locally significant.
