Statement of Significance

106 Clarke Street is a well-preserved house of a type which was typical of Northcote owing to the minimum 33 feet frontage set by the council, in contrast to the high densities dictated by narrow frontages of other city municipalities. The house also has an unusual timber and iron verandah detailing and a notable screen door.
