Location9-11 REGENT STREET, ASCOT VALE, MOONEE VALLEY CITY LevelIncluded in Heritage Overlay |
|
The terraced pair of dwellings at nos. 9-11 Regent street, Ascot Vale, are presumed to have been built in 1885 for Edward Power. They are aesthetically important. This importance (criterion E) is derived from their survival in a substantially intact state, demonstrating the direction that workers' housing in Melbourne was taking at the time by their use of red brickwork to the facades. They are, however, in other respects typical of their time.
