Statement of Significance

The terraced row at 6-10 Glance Street, Flemington, was built in 1890 for the engineer, Robert Kirkwood, presumably as an investment. They are representative examples of their period and survive today as a substantially intact group, recalling the growth sustained in the area as a consequence of the presence of the Essendon railway (Criterion A).
