Statement of Significance

'Glendalough' is of State significance and is included on the Victorian Heritage Register as H1202. Please refer to the VHR Hermes record for the statement of significance. The following statement of significance is from the Flemington and Kensington Conservation Study (1985).

Architecturally, an uncommon and successful variation on an excepted suburban style, seen elsewhere in the general streetscape and retains original planting and fence, and a hillside setting: of metropolitan importance.

Historically, litte is known of Norman Grey: of local interest as a successful tradesman from the social class which occupied Travancore.
