Statement of Significance

Architecturally, a near complete example from a limited group of surviving 19th Century urban stables of this size, now without the house context but large enough to establish its own character: of metropolitan importance. Historically, closely related to the area within Flemington which was intimately associated with horse training and riding thus exemplifying the area's special metropolitan role: of metropolitan importance.
