Statement of Significance

Intact isolated grave site of high significance as a burial site and also for its historical significance. In 1847 the infant son of early settlers Mr and Mrs Forlonge was buried here. The headstone is in remarkably good condition and the text details have been preserved well. If human remains are present, physical-anthopological investigation may yield significant insight as to lifestyles of the early pastoralists.
