20 Brackenbury Street, Warrandyte is a small timber and fibro Bungalow, built in the 1920s. It is of some architectural interest as characteristic and relatively intact of this building type, which may have once been more common in Warrandyte. It is of historic interest in having survived destruction in bushfires particularly that of 1939, as evidence of unpretentious family life in rural Warrandyte before the Great Depression and, it is said locally, as the home of the last mounted policeman in Warrandyte.
