STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE

The former Lobster Pot Dance Hall in the Barwon Heads Pakl at 7-71 Ewing Blyth is aesthetically significant at a LOCAL level. It demonstrates design qualities of an interwar Hall Bungalow Style including the dominant galvanized corrugated iron gable roof form and horizontal and vertical wall cladding. Other intact qualities includes the small gable entrance portico with early double timber doors and the gable paneling and battening.

The former Lobster Pot Dance Hall in the Barwon Heads Park at 7-71 Ewing Blyth Drive is historically significant at a REGIONAL level. It is associated with the development of the Barwon Heads Park by the Barwon Heads Park trustee between 1933-1949.
