Statement of Significance

B Listed - Regional Significance

The two storey semi-detached brick villas at 41-43 McKillop Street, Geelong were erected in 1870 for Geelong Businessman GF Link, as an investment. Recently established Scottish architect Alexander Davidson and George Henderson designed these dichromatic brick villas in a picturesque Victorian eclectic mode. The villas, known as 'Honddu Villas' are an important early work of the architects and an unusual building type in Geelong. The use of dichromatic brickwork and Waurn Ponds limestone is a distinctive feature of the design.
