The Drysdale weighbridge made by W & T Avery Makers London Birmingham was installed near the railway station in 1885 and consists of some surviving bluestone surround and a mechanical plate and lever arm of dimensions to accommodate heavy vehicles. The weighbridge ceased operation in the 1970s with the closure of the railway.

The Drysdale weighbridge has historic, scientific and social value to the Drysdale district and Bellarine peninsula.

The Drysdale weighbridge is a structure indicating the importance of the railway to pastoral and agricultural industry in the Bellarine peninsula. Its construction and its location in relation to the railway contributes to the importance of Drysdale as essentially intact representative example of nineteenth century weighbridge equipment.

It is of LOCAL cultural significance.
