"Carinya"

Carinya is a solid brick cottage , built in the early settlement period and with good integrity. It is of historic and scientific significance to the local Wallington community . Carinya is of historic significance as it is probably the oldest building in the Wallington area and is believed to be built of bricks made on the site. Originally the homestead on a 640 acre selection used to grow vines and fruit trees , it represents the scale and activities of farming in the area. The use of local materials to construct the house is of scientific interest. , It is of LOCAL cultural significance.
