C Listed - Local Significance STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE The Leopold Cemetery which is situated north of the township, has designated denominational areas and pioneer family plots with ornate memorials and headstones dating form the 1850s. The Cemetery contains early tree plantations and old specimen trees some of which have commemorative significance. The Leopold Cemetery has aesthetic, historic and social value to the Leopold district. The Leopold Cemetery headstones are a valuable source of genealogical information and memorial structures indicate social standing and the craftsmanship of stonemasons in the area.
