C Listed - Local Significance St Patrick's Roman Catholic Hall was built as a church in 1942. The simple building of weatherboard and fibro is now used as a church hall. It is of historic and social significance to the local Portarlington community. St Patrick's Roman Catholic Hall represents the significant religious and social influence of teh denomination's adherents in Portarlington and surrounds. It was built some years after the original St Patrick's church (no on this site) was demolished. Probably intended as a temporary church building when it was constructed, the building became a hall when a new church building was opened in 1966, the third in the denomination's history in Portarlington. It is of LOCAL cultural significance.
