STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE

The Bellarine Methodist Sunday School and Church Hall was built in 1894 of weatherboard construction with good site integrity.

It is aesthetic, historic and social value to the local East Bellarine community.

The Bellarine Methodist Sunday School and Church Hall was built approximately thirty years after the construction of the adjoining church. It has a strong association with Wesleyan Methodists who began meeting in the Bellarine area in the 1850's. It has been highly valued by the Methodist community and it demonstrates the use of the economical Carpenter 'Gothic' style to complement the earlier Gothic styled church adjacent.

It is of LOCAL cultural significance.
