STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
The house at 5 Punt Road is aesthetically significant at a LOCAL level. Although relocated and altered, it still demonstrates some original design qualities of the interwar Californian Bungalow style. These qualities include the two gable roofs forms, with the minor projecting gable forming a verandah. Other intact qualities include the horizontal weatherboard wall cladding, galvanised corrugated iron roof cladding, wide eaves and the decorative gable infill ventilators, panelling and battening. The house at 5 Punt Road is historically significant at a LOCAL level. It is associated with the McArthur subdivision of December, 1916. Overall, the house at 5 Punt Road is of LOCAL significance.
