STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE

The site and ruinous cottage at 291-295 Breamlea Road are historically significant at a LOCAL level. They are associated with and contribute to an understanding of the establishment of a farm from the mid 1850s, and particularly with Elias Harding, orginal purchaser of a vast amount of land in the Connewarre area.

Overall, the site and ruinous cottage at 291-295 Breamlea Road are of LOCAL significance.
