Statement of Significance

What is significant?
The subject site shows clear evidence of utilisation as a rock processing quarry with supporting infrastructure such as a well, boiler and some remnant evidence of tools. There is no record in historical archives that confirms the purpose, scope or period of time for the quarry, however, it is clear that the area was abandoned for many years, likely at least since the first third of the 20th century. The site is similar to many local stone quarries in this region and across the state.
