east side nature strip beside Barracks Walk, Bendigo. The tall crown
and slightly weeping canopy isa prominent landscape feature.The
Siberian Elm is a single trunked tree with 2 main structural branches.
It is a tall narrow crowned tree with sightly pendulous fine branches.
The leaves are glossy, narrow pointed and smooth. The trunk is covered
in numerous water shoots. There is minor dieback in the crown top. How is it significant? TheUlmuspumilaar.Pumila(Siberian Elm)is significant for its
aesthetic, size and rarity reasons at a State level. Why is it significant? Ulmuspumilavar.pumila(Siberian Elm)is rare and this tree is the
largest and only known mature tree in Victoria.It makes a contribution
to the surrounding streetscape of Barnard Street, Bendigo.
