STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE

The Barwon Club Hotel has architectural significance at a local level. It is an unusual example of Queen Anne Federation architecture which is substantially intact. The buildings retains characteristics siting and form typical of the Federation period and has notable details, including a semi-circular corner entrance, an assortment of windows, Art nouveau decoration, and timber Doric columns
