Statement of Significance

The site defines the location of one of the earliest and more permanent shallow alluvial workings on Bendigo beyond Bendigo Creek itself (criterion A) andmarks out the main line of alluvium which was worked northwards from Myer's Flat to Sebastian and beyond (criterion C).
