Contribution to landscape of historic town

This Pear, Pyrus sp, tree was probably planted when the historic town of Steiglitz was a well populated mining town. The tree is remembered by older residents( aged 85 -95) as being mature when they were schoolchildren. It still bears fruit and has attractive autumnal foliage and forms a significant contribution to the historic Steiglitz landscape.
