Mentioned in ''Lovely Old Homes of Kew' by Mrs D. Rogers as one of Kew's oldest houses. Costruction was reminiscent of prefabricated weatherboard houses and may date from the period 1845-1855. The earliest recorded owner was Samuel Cocking in1865-1880. The house appeared to have undergone little alteration. Rare plants in the garden were said to have been grown from plants provided by Baron Von Mueller. Classified: 27/10/1960 Demolished: 1971
