STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE

This is a unique cottage reflecting the skill of the owner-builder and remaining in near original condition. It is one of Geelong West's finest buildings and has important historical association with the Arnott family of bricklayers.

It is of State significance.

Should external restoration be considered the paint should be carefully removed from the front elevation and a front picket fence based on the original design be erected to replace the woven wire fence.
