B Listed - Regional Significance STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
226 Pakington Street is a typical two storey shop and dwelling from the 1850's. It has fine detailing possibly executed in sandstone enframents and were popular. The upper floor windows appear to have sandstone. It is of regional significance. POLICY/RECOMMENDATIONS: National Estate Register GRPS Careful removal of the paint from the quoinwork and a more sympathetic colour scheme would greatly enhance the character of this building as would a more sympathetic verandah and lower floor facade.
