C Listing - Local Significance STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE The building appears to have been constructed for John Lowe in 1857. It remained in use as a butcher shop until at least 1875 when William Fynney was the owner. The open cross parapet is an unusual design for the period. It is of local significance. POLICY/RECOMMENDATIONS: Geelong Regional Planning Scheme Removal of cantilevered verandah and restoration of a more sympathetic ground floor face would greatly enhance the character of this building.
