B Listed - Regional Significance This residence completed in 1923 for Oscar R. Birdsey, manager, has regional historical importance as an example of the many Californian Bungalows built during the 1920s for affluent Newtown businessmen. It has regional architectural significance as a characteristic Californian Bungalow. Of particular interest are the cubist decoration of the eaves and the chevron patterned gable vents, which appear to be influenced by Walter Burley Griffin.
