STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE

A double-fronted assymetrical timber Californian Bungalow, with its gable-roof facing. The left bay projects as a minor gable. Under this, the verandah recedes. Rafters are exposed. Upper gables are shingles, battered on brackets and the roof is on exposed purlins. The verandah has a broad gently arched transom, with post-pairs at angles, with a palisade and rail valance. Both windows are canted bays with a flat roof over. Upper sashes are leadlight. The fence and pedestrian and two pairs of vehicular gates are woven crimp-wire with a high variegated Privet hedge over.
