Residence "Barrabool"

STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE

The former Barrabool, is a late Victorian timber two storey house built in 1895. It is architecturally significant locally as a most eclectic and unusual design, although now lacking its roof belvedere. Of particular interest are the extraordinary and rare verandah brackets and bracing, as well as the Gothic doors and chimneys. It is historically significant as an unusual embodiment of away of life in the late nineteenth century. .
