The Williamstown Italian Social Club is of local historic, social and aesthetic significance to the City of Hobsons Bay.

Why is it Significant?

Historically and socially, it demonstrates the impact of migration upon Williamstown in the postwar period and is important for its associations with the Italian community over a long period of time. (AHC criteria A4, D2 and G1)

Aesthetically, it is a locally rare and intact example of postwar functionalist architecture. (AHC criteria B2, E1 and F1)
