Why is it Significant?

Historically, it illustrates the continuing development of Victoria Street and the Esplanade as fashionable Williamstown addresses during the Interwar years. (AHC criteria A4 and D2)

Aesthetically, it is a locally rare and superior example of an intact Interwar apartment building on a prominent corner site, which retains original details such as the contemporary fence and is complemented by an early garden layout. Situated on a prominent corner site it contributes to the historic character of Victoria Street and the Esplanade. (AHC criteria B2 and E1)
