Statement of Significance

1. Illustrative of the growth of Hawthorn as a well to do suburb, housing the city professionals in conservative Edwardian times.

2. A "garden bungalow" which illustrates the continuum from Queen Anne to today's suburban housing in a garden setting in Melbourne.

3. The original fence is notable.
