Statement of Significance

Newmanns farm house, outbuildings, former slab hut site and stone well, all date from the early period of European settlement in this area. The farm house and outbuildings show the changing functions of rural life, as needs arose, through to the 1950s. This is part of the unrecorded history of this area, has great potential for sub-surface deposits, and has been given a significance rating of high at the local level.
