Statement of Significance

The site is associated with the fisherman's jetty and the transport/trade links between Queenscliff and Geelong/Melbourne. Local significance. The building was used as a coal depot for the Port Phillip sea pilots, and later as a buoy storage shed for the Ports and Harbours Department.
