The Fish Creek Memorial Hall, designed by TE Molloy and constructed by Cunningham and Smith in 1930 at 13 Falls Road, Fish Creek.
Why is it Significant?
The Fish Creek Memorial Hall is of local aesthetic and social significance to South Gippsland Shire.
Aesthetically, it is a key public building that contributes to the historic character of Fish Creek and is also of interest as a substantially intact example of the work of the important local architect TE Molloy that may be directly compared with the more superior Mirboo-on-Tarwin Public Hall. (AHC criteria - E.1, F.1 and H.1) Socially, it demonstrates the importance of public halls to the development of small rural towns. (AHC criterion - G.1)
