A water race in Lerderderg Gorge with sections rock-cut, mortared freestone, earth-walled channel and possibly once on timber races. There is a rock-cut tunnel at Tunnel Point, a ford and hut sites. This long site is oflocal historical significance as a representative embodiment of an extractive process for recovery ofgold and a way oflife in the late nineteenth century. It is of scientific significance for its archaeological research potential.
