Statement of Significance as recorded under the Queenscliff Heritage Study 2009
The Bungalow is of historical and architectural significance to the Borough of Queenscliffe. The Bungalow is historically significant as a comparatively early twentieth century house in Point Lonsdale, built by Nathaniel Cayzer of the locally prolific Cavzer building family. Architecturally, it is a fine example from a collection of early twentieth century holiday houses in Point Lonsdale which follow the local vernacular of weatherboard construction, hipped roof forms, and timber-posted verandah with balustrade, frieze, and brackets. The integral verandah and main roof are an exception, following an approach which is less common in houses of this period in Point Lonsdale.
