Portable timber lock-up. Main rd Eltham

One of a small number of such structures throughout Victoria, this portable timberlock up is the result of 19th century technology serving the need for supplying gaol facilities quickly without the need to build permanent lock-up. There is another of these portable lock-ups at the Hurstbridge Police Station.
