Statement of Significance

The sole surviving building of the Coranderrk Aboriginal Station which was once the largest Aboriginal Station in Victoria. (Tansley, 1978)
Despite alterations, a substantial and sole survivor of buildings associated with Coranderrk, a promient Victorian aboriginal mission station for sixty years following establishment in 1863. (NT, 3902)
