Statement of Significance

The Lookout as it stands today, although modified, is the only surviving example of such structures in the Dandenongs. It is an important part of the Shire's history and a significant local landmark. (Kueffer 1998) The National Trust is undertaking further investigation of this place after which the level of significance should be reviewed.
