Weatherboard cottage evidently built in three stages with front door in central part flanked by three-paned double casements,five-paned sash windows in rear section; front section and timber verandah with scrolled valance c 1872 when opened as a butcher's shop by Conrad Heinz (later mayor of Bendigo) and his two brothers.
