Built 1844 by convict labour of Bluestone blocks irregularly hewn, to service the trade going to the gold diggings. It was also the first staging post for the Cobb & Co service between Melbourne and Bendigo. It is believed to have been at one time, the home of Caroline Chislom and also served as a meeting place for the local council. Classified: 27/04/1961 Demolished: 1961
