Statement of Significance

The Teddington Reservoirs, 501 Teddington Road, Stuart Mill were built to provide a water supply to St. Arnaud in 1898 and 1927 respectively. The reservoirs and surrounding area contain many artefacts which demonstrate key aspects of a domestic water supply system as well as retaining some original and unusual features.

The Teddington Reservoirs, 501 Teddington Road, Stuart Mill are historically and scientifically significant at a LOCAL level. They are associated with the supply of domestic water to St. Arnaud from 1898 and demonstrates some original and unusual features including remnant steel coated wooden pipes.
