Statement of Significance

A small brick house built for Edward Davis, currier, in1875, probably to the design of Evander McIver and with mediaevalising touches like the engaged colonettesat the window jambs, the foliated label stops and the billet moulds below the sills. The verandah posts are early examples of Angus McLean's patent cement-filled column.
