Statement of Significance

The former Police Quarters, now a residence, were erected in 1864 by the Public /vorks Department, the drawing for the building being prepared by A.T. Snow. The single storey stone structure is a notable example of public works design and an essential element in the Public Buildings Reserve Precinct.
